Redmi is shaking things up in the mid-range smartphone market with the Turbo 4 Pro, packing flagship-level specs.
The new phone runs on Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, launched in April 2025. This powerhouse processor boasts an 8-core CPU setup: one ARM Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.20 GHz, three ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 3.0 GHz, two ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 2.80 GHz, and two more ARM Cortex-A720 cores at 2.02 GHz. Paired with the Adreno 825 GPU, it’s a performance beast that rivals the Adreno 830 found in top-tier chips like the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Redmi’s design game is strong too. The Turbo 4 Pro flaunts a sleek 6.83-inch flat OLED display, a metal frame, and a massive 7,550 mAh battery. This isn’t just any battery – it uses cutting-edge silicon-carbon tech, making it thin enough to fit inside the phone’s slim 7.98 mm body.
Other standout features include:
- a high-res 2,800 x 1,280 pixel display with 120 Hz refresh rate
- in-display fingerprint sensor
- lightning-fast LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage
- a 20 MP front camera
- a dual rear camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor (OIS) and 8 MP ultrawide lens
- 90 W fast charging
- robust IP68/IP69 rating for high-pressure water resistance up to 80°C
- HyperOS 2 based on Android 15
Wang Teng, Xiaomi’s general manager, is confident the Turbo 4 Pro can take on rivals like the OnePlus Ace series and iQOO Neo.
The phone is set to launch in China on April 24, 2025, with prices starting at 2,099 yuan for the 12 GB + 256 GB model. There’s also a possibility it might hit global markets as the Poco F7.
