Redmi prepares to take important steps already taken by Xiaomi

Redmi is the Xiaomi brand most focused on cheap products, and where quality-price governs. Therefore, over time, it did not bet on certain features that were only exclusive to Xiaomi’s own more expensive models. But it seems that the line becomes increasingly blurred.

Earlier this year, Xiaomi finally launched its first smartphone with IP68 certification, which gives it resistance to water and dust: the Mi 11 Ultra. Redmi itself would also finally launch the Note 10 JE with this certification, but the terminal is exclusive to Japan.

Redmi will also bet heavily on the IP68 certification

According to the leaking digital chat station, Redmi is preparing to take important steps together with Xiaomi. And one of the next will be the launch of an IP68 certified smartphone in China, with a possible global launch, even under a different name.

The smartphone in question must be a device with high-end features, and the Gizmochina website says that it may be called the Redmi K40 Ultra. There are rumors that the global version of this device may be the Xiaomi Mi 11T Pro, which will be released on September 15.

In addition, it is recalled that this Monday we reported that Redmi would be planning to introduce 120W fast charging in its next top of the range. Therefore, this may be the terminal chosen for it.

Like any rumor without official confirmation, we should look at this data with a pinch of salt until there is an official confirmation from Xiaomi or Redmi.
