THE xiaomi will present the smartphone Redmi K50 Gaming Edition on February 16 (Wednesday) in China and before the presentation event, the Chinese manufacturer revealed more details about the terminal. Now, we know what your true “fiber” will be.
For its next launch, Xiaomi opted for a 4,700 mAh battery with ultrafast 120 W charging, the same power that we find in the current Xiaomi 11T Pro, for example. This will allow the gaming phone to fully charge (0-100%) the large battery in 17 minutes.

The exchange was made by the CEO of Redmi, Lu Weibing through the Weibo social network. There, the executive confirmed the capacity of the battery (4,700 mAh), as well as the fast charge at 120 W. This will be the great asset of the mobile for games.
For those with no time to spare, a full charge in 17 minutes is something few smartphones can be proud of in 2022 and will free up more time for the user. Furthermore, the phone will arrive with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor.
In Weibing’s words, the Xiaomi Redmi K50 Gaming Edition smartphone will feature the fastest-charging Snapdragon 8 processor ever created.

It is important to note that this will be a smartphone for gamers and heavy mobile users. That said, the manufacturer decided to beef up the charging issue to make it faster, as well as allowing you to keep playing games and charging the battery.
Charging via USB Type-C cable has also been designed from the ground up to allow charging while the user is holding the phone and continuing to play. To this end, the USB-C input is angled differently to provide normal usage while charging, as shown in the image above with the included charging cable.

Also according to Lu Weibing, the new Redmi mobile phone will use a more versatile battery type (MTW) or multipolar battery which will have less internal resistance hence generate less heat. In addition, the battery consists of two cells to speed up charging speed and efficiency.
The phone will also feature a triple camera on the rear, led by the 64MP Sony IMX686 sensor. On the front we will have a 20 MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Finally, the Redmi K50 Gaming Edition is also expected to arrive in Europe, albeit with a new name, possibly POCO F3 GT.
