The Xiaomi Redmi 12 smartphone model will be officially revealed very soon after having already starred in several leaks and even being present in the official Portuguese store. With that said, let’s see what this Redmi 12, the base version, offers to the consumer.
It should be noted that after the leak of information from Portugal, the same device was illustrated by the filter Roland Quandt, more specifically through the publication Winfuture.de where we now have the renders or official digital images of the product.
Xiaomi Redmi 12 is the next quality/price Android smartphone for 2023
Apparently, the Redmi 12 will be available in three color combinations, namely: black, white and light blue. We will have the volume control on the right side and the on/off button, while the fingerprint reader is integrated into this same side button.
The design of the cameras is similar to that of the Apple iPhone 13 and iPhone 14 with a vertical design and the third sensor forming the “triangle” of the image. We will have a wide angle lens, an ultra wide angle lens and a macro lens.
MediaTek Helio G88 powers this Xiaomi smartphone
The Redmi 12 mobile phone has MediaTek’s Helio G88 processor, with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. We also have a 6.8-inch IPS LCD screen with Full-HD+ resolution at 90 Hz and a 5,000 mAh battery.
Charging speed will be slow, compared to today’s standards, at 18W, with the phone having a plastic build. There is still room for a screen-punching front camera with 13 MP according to information.
Finally, this Xiaomi Redmi 12 should reach stores between June and July 2023 with an approximate price of 200 euros. It is the base version of the new Xiaomi Redmi 12 range with a focus on quality/price ratio.
Currently, we already have several more advanced models in this range on the market, such as the Redmi Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+, with more powerful technical characteristics, but also more expensive.
