Red Star Belgrade Wins Fifth Consecutive Serbian Cup Title

The Red Star’s dominance showed no signs of fading as they secured their fifth consecutive Serbian Cup title with a 3-0 win over Vojvodina. Former Farense forward Bruno Duarte gave the reigning champions an early lead at 23 minutes in.

Vojvodina, who finished third in the Serbian league, pushed back hard but ultimately crumbled after the 90-minute mark. Ex-Marítimo player Milson doubled the lead in stoppage time, at 90+5 minutes. Katai sealed the deal at 90+12 minutes, just after Sichenje’s expulsion left Vojvodina with 10 men on the field.

This latest triumph comes on the heels of Red Star’s seventh straight Serbian league title, where they held a whopping 27-point gap over second-placed Partizan. The Serbian Cup win marks their fifth consecutive victory in the competition, solidifying their grip on domestic football.
