Vojvodina, who finished third in the Serbian league, pushed back hard but ultimately crumbled after the 90-minute mark. Ex-MarÃtimo player Milson doubled the lead in stoppage time, at 90+5 minutes. Katai sealed the deal at 90+12 minutes, just after Sichenje’s expulsion left Vojvodina with 10 men on the field.
This latest triumph comes on the heels of Red Star’s seventh straight Serbian league title, where they held a whopping 27-point gap over second-placed Partizan. The Serbian Cup win marks their fifth consecutive victory in the competition, solidifying their grip on domestic football.
