realme has revealed sophisticated designs and hinted at professional-grade camera capabilities for its upcoming GT 8 premium smartphone series, positioning the new lineup as a high-end contender ahead of its official launch.
The brand has confirmed that its GT 8 Pro model will feature a photography system comparable to Ricoh’s renowned GR series cameras. This includes a 50-megapixel periscope zoom camera. The device also appears to support interchangeable rear camera modules.
For the standard GT 8 model, realme showcased three distinct design versions. The “Navi” option features a dark blue tone with a frosted glass panel, offering a soft and luxurious feel.
The “White” version utilizes anti-glare frosted glass, designed to prevent fingerprints while providing a superior smooth touch. Meanwhile, the “Green” variant comes with an eco-friendly synthetic leather material, presenting a paper-like texture that is both soft and durable.
These design elements and advanced camera promises underscore realme’s strategy to compete in the premium smartphone segment. The company, which separated from OPPO in 2018, is aiming for a strong market entry.
Previously reported specifications for the GT 8 series suggest a robust feature set. These include a 6.78-inch OLED display with 2K resolution and a 144 Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, the devices are expected to run on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, built on 3-nanometer technology. This processor features an 8-core Oryon CPU with a maximum processing speed of 4.32 GHz.
Memory options could reach up to 16 GB of RAM, paired with up to 1 TB of internal storage. In addition to the advanced periscope lens, the main camera is expected to be 50 megapixels, complemented by an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.
The series is also anticipated to include a substantial 7,000 mAh battery, supporting 100 W fast charging. The phones will operate on realme UI 7, which is built on the Android 16 platform.
The realme GT 8 series is slated for its official debut in China on October 21, 2025.
