Realme prepares to launch Chromecast alternative with Google TV

In 2020 Google finally decided to revamp the beloved Chromecast. The product came with a different design, navigation command, and Google TV. This was the first product to hit the market with the operating system that is a step up from Android TV.

According to the latest information leaks, Realme is preparing to be the first to launch such an alternative to Chromecast with Google TV. Until I saw only a few smart TVs from Sony and TCL this possibility occurred to him. The news was advanced by the content creator Utsav Techie on the social network Twitter.

Realme 4K Google TV Stick may come with USB-C port

In the image we see a product called “Realme 4K Google TV Stick”. This follows the design line of products such as Mi TV Stick or Amazon Fire Stick, having, in this case, a USB-C port on the side for power.

Other than what is in the picture, you don’t know anything else about this Realme product with Google TV. It is true that it will have 4K resolution, and that it will have an HDMI port to connect to the TV, as well as the aforementioned port for USB-C. Of course, it will be expected to be accompanied by a command.

One detail to keep in mind is that, at least at an early stage, it is expected to be a Flipkart exclusive in India. But as has happened with other products, Realme could well launch this “stick” in the future in Europe.

Compared to Android TV, Google TV is distinguished by having an ‘interface’ with several tabs at the top. There you can access the search, but also the content aimed at you, movies, series, applications and library.
