Realme GT 7 Confirmed with Dimensity 9400+ Chipset Launching April 2025

Realme’s about to launch its flagship GT 7 smartphone in April 2025. It’ll be one of the first phones to use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chip, made with TSMC’s advanced 3-nanometer tech for better power saving and heat management.

This chip is an upgraded version of the Dimensity 9400, with a faster CPU speed of 3.63 GHz. MediaTek will announce the Dimensity 9400+ on April 11, 2025.

What’s inside the Dimensity 9400+?

The chip has eight cores:

  • One ARM Cortex-X925 core with a max speed of 3.73 GHz
  • Three ARM Cortex-X4 cores with a max speed of 3.3 GHz
  • Four ARM Cortex-A720 cores with a max speed of 2.4 GHz

It’s been tested on AnTuTu and scored over 3 million points, which is one of the highest scores on the platform. This shows that the GT 7 is a big upgrade from the GT 6, which came out in 2024 with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip.

Other rumored specs

There are rumors about the GT 7’s other specs:

  • A flat screen with 1.5K resolution and high refresh rate support
  • A 7,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging
  • A thinner and lighter body than the GT 6

The GT 7 might cost around 3,000 yuan, which would make it a direct competitor to the Redmi K80 Ultra and OnePlus Ace 5s, both of which are also expected to have the Dimensity 9400+ chip.

According to Xu Qi, realme’s president, “3-nanometer tech will define the performance of future flagship smartphones.”

Realme’s move to use the Dimensity 9400+ chip in the GT 7 is a significant one, and it’ll be interesting to see how it stacks up against other flagships in the market.
