MediaTek has just launched its latest flagship chip, the Dimensity 9400e, and realme is already on board with its new GT 7 smartphone. This phone is making waves as a so-called “flagship killer,” promising top-notch performance at an affordable price.
The Dimensity 9400e is a powerful chip built using TSMC’s 4-nanometer N4P process. It packs eight CPU cores, including one Cortex-X4 core running at 3.4 GHz, three more Cortex-X4 cores at 2.85 GHz, and four Cortex-A720 cores at 2.0 GHz. The GPU is an Immortalis-G720 MC12 clocked at 1.0 GHz. According to realme, this chip is one of the top three most powerful Android chipsets available, scoring over 2.45 million points on AnTuTu.
The realme GT 7 will be the first phone to feature this new chip. It also boasts a feature called GT Boost, which optimizes power use and keeps frame rates high. This means the phone can handle the top 20 most popular Android games, like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Honor of Kings, at 120 Hz for up to six hours straight. The display itself is incredibly bright, reaching 6,000 Nits, making it perfect for gaming.
The phone’s battery is massive, with a 7,000 mAh capacity and support for 120 W fast charging. The back is made with a new material called IceSense, a mix of graphene and glass fiber that helps keep the chipset cool under heavy use, dropping temperatures by up to 6 degrees Celsius.
The realme GT 7 will launch globally on May 27, 2025, in Paris, France. It will come in two colors: IceSense Blue and IceSense Black.
