Real Sociedad are determined to move on following Alexander Sorloth’s departure from Villarreal, and are already eyeing a new striker: André Silva. The Portuguese striker is the one chosen by the San Sebastian team to fill the attack position and strengthen the attack for next season.
They are currently in talks with Leipzig, a club of which André Silva also belongs, for a possible loan, according to Diario Vasco and confirmed Relief.

Real Sociedad is turning the page with Sorloth and closing their new striker
Andrew Silva he has had brilliant seasons mixed with erratic performances since his days at Porto, where he became one of Portuguese football’s up-and-comers. Then, he spent some notable time for Milan, but recovered his best level during a loan spell at Sevilla and later at Eintracht Frankfurt, where he scored 28 goals in a season.
The Portuguese striker arrived at Leipzig and, although his performance was remarkable, he was unable to maintain the same scoring consistency as in previous seasons. With Loïs Openda as a new signing at Leipzig, André Silva sees his opportunities to start limited, which opens up the possibility of a loan at Real Sociedad, a club that will participate in the Champions League this season.
Talks between the two sides are on track, but a final deal has not yet been reached. Real Sociedad hope to close the loan deal as soon as possible so that the striker will be available from the start of the season.
Coach Imanol Alguacil was the main promoter of strengthening the team’s forward line. With Umar Sadiq recovering from a cruciate ligament injury and Jon Karrikaburu eyeing a possible loan deal, Carlos Fernández and new signing André Silva would be the main forward options for the Basque outfit.
