The Pollinic Trophy is back, and this time it’s a special edition – the 40th anniversary of the event. To mark this milestone, Unicaja has organized a unique match featuring the veterans of Real Madrid and Unicaja. This exciting encounter is set to take place on March 23, just a few months after the two teams faced off in Madrid. The legends of both clubs will meet again, this time as a prelude to the important Endesa League match between their respective teams.
The Lineup
The upcoming game promises to be an thrilling event, with a star-studded lineup that includes Berni Rodríguez, Carlos Cabezas, Fran Vázquez, Carlos Suárez, and Jon Cortaberría representing Unicaja, and Sergio ‘Chacho’ Rodríguez, Rudy Fernández, Felipe Reyes, and Lucio Angulo playing for Real Madrid. The match will kick off at 12:00 at the Pérez Canca de Carranque Pavilion, right before the afternoon confrontation in the Carpena. What’s more, tickets are reasonably priced at 5 euros for the stands and 10 euros for the track, with a raffle featuring the participating legends to be drawn.

Tickets for the event are now available and can be purchased at the Brotherhood House of the Brotherhood of Pollinic, located at Parras Street, 20, on Tuesdays and Fridays between 7:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Alternatively, you can grab them at the Stands of the Fan Zone of Carpena on March 2, during the Endesa League match against Baxi Manresa, from 10:30 am. The event won’t just feature players from both teams, but also other notable figures from national and international basketball, ensuring an afternoon of quality entertainment.
A Look Back at the Last Edition
In the previous edition of the Pollinic Trophy, held in December, the home team emerged victorious in a closely contested match at the Real Madrid Sports City, winning 73-63 in the final quarter.
