Real Madrid is considering ditching Bayern to replace Alaba

Real Madrid have their sights set on talented defender Matthijs de Ligt. Bayern Munich would reportedly be willing to negotiate his signing. With David Alaba’s injury confirmed, the Merengue club are looking to strengthen their defensive line and De Ligt is proving to be an excellent option.

The possibility of signing the 24-year-old Dutch defender has grown in importance, especially after Bayern Munich considered using De Ligt as a bargaining chip in negotiations for Aurélien Tchouaméni and Antonio Rüdiger. However, Real Madrid, 14-time Champions League winners, have no intention of ditching two key elements of their plan.

De Ligt, in Real Madrid’s sights

Although De Ligt has failed to fully establish himself at Bayern Munich, the Bavarian club has valued the player at €60 million. This figure could be used in a possible exchange for the aforementioned Tchouaméni and Rüdiger, although Real Madrid appear unwilling to give up on these pillars of their defense.

Information released by Defensa Central shows that Real Madrid are interested in strengthening their defense with a defender of De Ligt’s quality. The Dutchman, who has played for Ajax and Juventus, represents a high-profile option for Florentino Pérez’s side.

As the transfer market approaches, Real Madrid will consider their options to find the right replacement for Alaba. The possibility of bringing in De Ligt despite Bayern Munich’s strategy adds excitement to the White team’s planning for future transfer windows.
