The real Madridthrough its Foundationdonated more than one million euros in the campaign “All with Ukraine”according to the accounts report for last season approved at the entity’s Board of Trustees meeting held in the sports city’s board room, in which the action plan for the 2022-23 season was given the green light.
Florentino Pérez, president of Real Madrid and of the White Club Foundation, chaired a meeting of the Board of Trustees in which its governing body approved the accounts corresponding to the 2021-22 season.
As reported by the club, more than 75,000 people and their families were assisted with its Foundation in more than 930 schools, projects and programs of education, integration and development cooperation in more than 90 countries.
Also, Real Madrid “donated more than a million euros to alleviate the effects of the invasion” in Ukraine. A contribution that accounted for 1.2% of the total action of the Red Cross, 25% of the action of CESAL, 30% of the action of Misiones Salesianas and 88% of the action of ‘Epicenter for children’. “The funds were used both for food and medicine as well as for blankets, beds and coverage of other basic needs”.
Last season, the Madridista Foundation developed 464 socio-sporting projects in 71 countries, 144 in Spain, to care for more than 50,000 minors and their families, almost 11,000 of them in national territory.
In parallel, 474 clinics, campuses and educational sports programs such as the ‘Football Program’ were held in 34 countries, in which more than 25,000 minors from the five continents participated.
The new season begins with the twenty-fifth anniversary of the creation of a Foundation that has benefited more than 1,500,000 people, including direct beneficiaries, people trained in the entity’s unique methodology and families served on five continents whose lives have improved.
