IPL 2023 Points Table Playoffs Lineups: The four teams of the IPL 2023, who have reached the playoffs this year, have finally come to the fore. The last game of the league phase was played on Sunday night between RCB and the Gujarat Titans. In this, the RCB had to face another defeat. If the RCB team had won this match, they would have easily qualified for the playoffs, which means that the Mumbai Indians would have to be eliminated, but this could not happen. The interesting thing is that even after the playoff lineup is ready, the RCB teams i.e. Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals are still leading in one case but the game of RR and RCB is over and the team of Mumbai Indians have moved on and once again emerged as a strong contender to win the title.

RCB and RR have better net run rate than Mumbai Indians

Talking about this year’s IPL points table, Gujarat Titans is at number one here. That they have won ten of their 14 league games and have only lost four. The team has a total of 20 points. And the team’s net run rate is 0.809. At number two is CSK, captained by MS Dhoni, and they have won eight of their 14 games and lost five. One game could not be played due to rain, so the team got a point in that game. The team’s net run rate is 0.652. After this, at number three is the Lucknow Super Giants team, captained by Krunal Pandya, who has added 17 points out of 14 with eight wins and five losses, LSG also lost a game due to rain. The team’s net run rate is 0.284. After this comes the number of Mumbai Indians captained by Rohit Sharma. The team won eight of 14 games and lost six. The team has 16 points, but the net run rate is minus -0.044. This is the only team going to the playoffs whose net run rate is negative. But even after this, the MI team managed to enter the playoffs due to points. On the other hand, if we talk about the net run rate of RCB and RR, then both of them are positive, but due to the low points, these two teams have to be out of the top 4.

Rajasthan Royals reached number five after RCB loss

The number five Rajasthan Royals team is still in possession. They have won seven of their 14 matches and lost seven. The team has 14 points, while the RCB team has also won seven of their 14 matches and also has 14 points. Rajasthan Royals have a net run rate of 0.148 while RCB have 0.135. It means both in positive. If Mumbai Indians, RCB and Rajasthan Royals had equal points, the Rajasthan team had the strongest claim to go to the playoffs on the basis of net run rate, but the team failed to make it.
