He was also the ‘Man of the Match’ in the first match of the ODI series. But did you know that this legendary all-rounder once dreamed of becoming a fast bowler?

Ravindra Jadeja recounted her childhood dream in a conversation with Star Sports. He said that he always wanted to be a fast bowler and that what he liked best was bowling bouncers.

Jadeja said: ‘When I started playing cricket, I wanted to become a fast bowler. I loved fast bowling. When other fast bowlers used to play bouncers, I liked to watch them. Watching him, I also felt that I should bounce bouncer hitters as well, but I didn’t have the speed to become a fast pitcher. Because she couldn’t fast bowl, Jadeja gradually focused on batting and spin bowling and today she ranks among the legendary all-rounders.

He said: ‘I had also told Mahi Bhai that my cricket journey has been between my coach Mahendra Singh Chauhan at Jamnagar and my captain MS Dhoni at CSK.
