Ravichandran Ashwin will join Team India on the fourth day of the Rajkot Test. Due to a family emergency, Ashwin stayed away from the game. BCCI has released an important update on Ashwin. After the second day of play, Ashwin temporarily withdrew his name from the game.

Now, BCCI said that Ashwin and the team management have confirmed that he will be back in action on day four and will continue to contribute in the ongoing Test.

BCCI further said that the team management, players, media and fans showed a lot of understanding and compassion by accepting the importance of family as a priority. The team and its supporters have remained united in their support for Ashwin during this difficult time and the management is excited to welcome him back to the field.
