The Baltimore Ravens signed 31-year-old edge rusher Trey Hendrickson to a four-year, $112 million base contract on Wednesday morning, March 11, 2026. The agreement, verified by national sports outlets, becomes official at 4:00 PM Eastern Time when the 2026 NFL league year opens.
Hendrickson’s contract includes $60 million fully guaranteed and a $20 million signing bonus. The maximum value of the deal can reach $120 million through sack-based incentives that trigger beginning at eight sacks per season.
The acquisition materialized after Baltimore withdrew from a trade with the Las Vegas Raiders for edge rusher Maxx Crosby late Tuesday night. Crosby failed his physical due to a torn meniscus, prompting the Ravens to retain their two first-round draft picks and immediately direct their salary cap resources to Hendrickson.
The Indianapolis Colts heavily pursued Hendrickson in free agency, seeking to pair him with defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Following Hendrickson’s commitment to Baltimore, Indianapolis is evaluating alternative options, including veteran edge rusher Bradley Chubb, who was recently released by the Miami Dolphins in a salary-cap maneuver.
Hendrickson enters the 2026 season with 81 career sacks. He recorded 17.5 sacks in both the 2023 and 2024 seasons for the Cincinnati Bengals, leading the NFL in 2024, before an injury limited his 2025 campaign to seven games.
