Actress Rashmika Mandanna recently disclosed she filmed a song for her latest movie, “Thama,” while recovering from a serious injury. She sustained multiple foot fractures and a torn muscle during a gym workout in January.
Doctors had strongly recommended three months of complete bed rest for her recovery.
However, Mandanna returned to work within 30 days. This included promotional activities for “Chhaava” and intense filming for “Thama.”
Her medical team was reportedly “truly angry” about her swift return to demanding physical activities.
Mandanna acknowledged that her foot’s shape has since changed due to the injury. She recalled shooting the song “Tum Mere Na Hue” in significant pain, as it had to be completed on schedule.
Despite the physical toll, she expresses immense satisfaction with the public’s positive reception. The actress stated that seeing people enjoy the song and the film brings her profound happiness and a sense of peace.
She emphasized that audience appreciation and the joy on people’s faces are what ultimately matter to her.
“Thama” stars Mandanna alongside Ayushmann Khurrana, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal.
Aditya Sarpotdar directed the film, which is a component of Maddock’s horror-comedy universe.
Released during the Diwali period, the film has received a mixed response from critics and audiences, but continues to perform well at the box office.
