Rashford Calm About Barcelona La Liga Registration, Focused on Readiness

Rashford calm about La Liga registration

Marcus Rashford isn’t sweating the small stuff. The 27-year-old, freshly arrived at Barcelona on a loan deal, isn’t bothered by the chatter around his La Liga registration. He’s got full faith in the club. “It doesn’t worry me,” he told reporters while the team was in Seoul for their Asian tour. “I trust the club will sort it out. My main focus is just getting ready to play.”

What’s truly on his mind is winning. Rashford is bursting with ambition for the new season. He’s eyeing the biggest prize in club football: the Champions League trophy. “Everyone wants to win the Champions League,” he declared. He acknowledged last season was “excellent” but quickly added, “We want to take the next step. We want to win it.”

And how many goals does he expect to bag? The former Manchester United star had a quick answer, laced with a laugh. “100!” he joked. Then, he turned serious. “As many as possible, of course. This is going to be a brand new journey for me. I’m going to push to score every goal I can.”

He’s also been impressed by the talent around him at the famous blaugrana club. Rashford admitted he knew the squad held a lot of skill from afar. However, since joining, he’s found the team’s “intensity” to be truly remarkable. He believes that fiery spirit is what they need to keep alive “right until the very end” of the season.

This move to Barcelona marks Rashford’s second loan spell this year. The Red Devils had previously sent him to Aston Villa in January. During his time there, he played 17 games, where he managed to find the back of the net 4 times and set up 5 goals for his teammates.
