Rape after abducting a woman, two London police officers arrested

British police have arrested two officers working in the capital London after they were accused of involvement in the kidnapping and rape of a woman.

The scandal came to light shortly after it was revealed that an officer had committed dozens of crimes during his service. The matter quickly became a matter of public opinion in Britain.

Scotland Yard said the two officers, who work for London Police’s North West Command, are currently off duty as they were suspended immediately following allegations of offending against the complainant.

According to British media, the two officers were arrested on Sunday, April 30, at a night club in the Kingston area. The woman claimed that the two men took her in a taxi against her will to a house in North London and raped her there. The British police confirmed the incident and said that these two men turned out to be police officers. However, their identity has not been revealed yet.

According to the report, after consultation with the Public Prosecution Department, the two officers have been released on bail on the condition that they return in June for further investigation into the rape offence. Meanwhile, the public prosecutor dismissed the other charges against him.

It should be remembered that a few months ago, a scandal related to the British police shook the UK. A police officer had confessed to raping 24 people, including 12 women, during his 17-year tenure.
