Actually Ranbir is not that crazy about Holi and in this song he had to apply gulal and also get wet. Even in the video for the song, Ranbir Kapoor is repeatedly seen removing the color from his face after each shot.

It is said that during the filming of the song, he also got irritated due to frequently wetting and applying color and used to get mad at everyone. At the same time, during the shooting of the song, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin were worried that they could not do the dance steps. While Ranbir and Deepika memorized all the steps very well, Aditya and Kalki found it difficult to remember them and used to forget the steps over and over again during the shoot. The song was choreographed by Remo D’Souza and took four days to film. Due to the increase of one sequence, it took one more day to complete the shooting of the song.

The director of the film Ayan is also very fond of the Holi festival. He had told that the idea for this song came to him while he was playing Holi, on the last day of the song’s shooting, he had created an environment to have fun with Ranbir and during the dance step, he had asked all the dancers to throw colors on Ranbir together. However, this intelligence also outshone Ayaan. In reality, Ranbir then threw everyone along with Ayan into a pool filled with water. That day everyone was completely drenched in the colors of Holi.
