Ranbir Kapoor Praises Vinit Kumar Singh’s Work

The buzz around Bollywood’s mega-period drama film “Chhaava” has been going on for several weeks now, and the way it has left an indelible mark on audiences is nothing short of astonishing. The story of Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj has touched the hearts of everyone, and the performances by Vicky Kaushal and Akshay Khanna have won over viewers. However, another actor who has made a significant impact with his portrayal of “Kavi Kalash” is Vinit Kumar Singh, and he’s now basking in the praise and adoration of the audience.

In a recent conversation, Vinit opened up about his struggles and the success of “Chhaava,” and also reminisced about a special moment when actor Ranbir Kapoor had called him after watching his performance in the film “Ugly.” Vinit revealed that he didn’t believe it was actually Ranbir on the other end of the line, thinking it might be one of his friends playing a prank on him. “I’ve always been a fan of Ranbir’s work,” Vinit said. “When he saw ‘Ugly’ back in 2013, I got a call from a person claiming to be Ranbir. I immediately thought it was someone I knew, perhaps a friend with a similar name, so I asked, ‘Who’s this?’ The film hadn’t even released yet, but he had already seen it. I couldn’t believe it when he said he was Ranbir Kapoor. It was the first time in 13 years that something like this had happened to me.”

Vinit further shared that he thought his friends were playing a prank on him, and he even asked again, “Who is this, tell me?” But eventually, he realized it was indeed Ranbir. They ended up talking for a while, and Ranbir had some great things to say about “Ugly.” Vinit also mentioned that he often messages Ranbir to appreciate his work, and it warms his heart to see two actors promoting each other’s craft. “It’s a beautiful thing when one artist appreciates another’s work. What can I possibly give to Ranbir Kapoor? He didn’t need to call me and compliment me, but it just shows his good nature. Whenever I think he’s done exceptional work in a project, I make sure to let him know. We have a deep respect for each other,” Vinit expressed.

Anurag Kashyap’s film “Ugly” received critical acclaim, and Vinit’s supporting role, although not the lead, was impactful. Ranbir had watched the film while working with Anurag on “Bombay Velvet” in 2014. Although both films didn’t perform exceptionally well at the box office at the time, it’s clear that Ranbir’s gesture of appreciation has left a lasting impression on Vinit. The world of cinema is full of such stories of mutual respect and admiration, and it’s heartening to see actors like Ranbir and Vinit promoting each other’s work. As the entertainment industry continues to evolve, these moments of genuine appreciation remind us of the power of community and support that exists among artists.
