Bollywood actors Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt have many reasons to be happy this year. From their wedding to their first movie together; Brahmastra, who is now finally released. Furthermore, Alia Bhatt announced her first pregnancy last month and they will be welcoming their first child in a few months.
Ranbir Kapoor talks about his upcoming fatherhood in a recent interview. He wants to do things differently than the previous generation.
“Alia and I have been talking for a while about how we will share our responsibilities and time. We grew up in a generation where our parents were quite busy with work. So we had less of them around us. And so we were more or less raised by our mothers. We also have a different relationship with our mothers than with our fathers. I want to have a different dynamic with my children. I also want a deeper connection with them.”
He goes on to say that he has experienced a wide range of emotions since the announcement. “I am very happy, excited and also nervous. I am terrified too. But I am very grateful. I am grateful that I have not experienced that emotion in my life. I have experienced different emotions. But this is an emotion that fills your whole heart.”
