Ramiz Raja made a great statement about the 2025 Champions Trophy venue

Karachi. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) President Rameez Raja is very happy to host the 2025 International Cricket Council (ICC) Trophy of Champions in Pakistan. With this tournament, the great world competition will return to the country after more than two decades. The good news comes less than two months after New Zealand and England canceled their tours of Pakistan for security reasons.

Rameez thanked the ICC and said the tournament will show Pakistan’s passion for the game.

He said: “I am extremely happy that the ICC has chosen Pakistan as the host country for one of its elite tournaments. By assigning the premier world tournament to Pakistan, the ICC has placed full confidence in our managerial and managerial abilities and skills.

Pakistan, which co-hosted the 1996 World Cup with India and Sri Lanka, has been unable to host many international matches in the country after the terrorist attack on the Sri Lanka team bus in Lahore in 2009.

The Champions Trophy was last held in the UK in 2017 when Pakistan won the title by defeating India in the final. This tournament will return to the ICC calendar after eight years.
