Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan movie ‘Anand’ to be remade, script is in final stage

Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan’s movie ‘Anand’ proved to be a huge success. This movie was very liked. This movie was directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Now this movie is going to be remade. Filmmaker NC Sippy and Vikram Khakhar’s grandson Sameer Raj Sippy are preparing for the remake. The film’s director and cast are still finalizing the script.

Rajesh Khanna from 1971 was shown as Anand Sehgal suffering from cancer. Those who were being treated by Amitabh Bachchan but due to suffering from late stage cancer, Rajesh Khanna loses in the battle of life and dies. Rajesh Khanna’s performance in Anand and his dialogue are remembered even today. The movie’s brilliant dialogues were written by Gulzar which are still a hit and are still remembered by fans.

Producer Sameer Raj Sippy said that I think those stories should be told to the new generation. Youth must be exposed to film heritage. “Given the sensibilities and sentiments attached to the original film, I feel there is a need for the current generation to retell many stories, which are very relevant today,” he said.

Information related to the movie has been kept under wraps for now. No revelation has been made about the film’s star cast. Produced by Sameer Raj Sippy and Vikram Khakhar, the film’s script is up on stage.
