IPL is the most watched cricket league in the world. Many star players have made their careers playing here. The schedule for the first phase of IPL 2024 has been released. The first match will be played on March 22 between RCB and Chennai Super Kings. Currently, a 17-day schedule has been announced in the first phase, which runs until April 7th. The schedule of the second phase will now be announced after the general election dates are announced. But the Sawai Man Singh Stadium, the home ground of the Rajasthan Royals, was sealed beforehand.
Sawai Man Singh Stadium sealed
The Sawai Man Singh Stadium has been sealed by the Rajasthan Sports Council a month before it is scheduled to host the 2024 Indian Premier League matches. The council claimed this happened because the state cricket association had failed to meet its obligations, including paying dues. Besides the stadium, the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) office and its academy were also sealed.
Rajasthan Sports Council secretary Sohan Ram Chaudhary had on Friday sent a notice to RCA asking them to hand over the property to the state council, but this did not happen. That’s why the state sports council sealed the property. Chaudhary told media that we had sent notices to them (RCA) several times but did not receive any response from them. They simply responded by extending the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to ten years (from eight years). You have obligations and have not fulfilled them.
IPL matches are played at the stadium
The home ground of Rajasthan Royals, who play in the IPL, is the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur. IPL is organized by BCCI. Even if the stadium is sealed. But IPL matches will be played on this ground. Sohan Ram Choudhary said that the stadium will host IPL matches and other matches played here. We have now taken back the stadium.
There will be three games in the first phase
BCCI has released the schedule of the first phase of IPL 2024. Three matches will be played at the Sawai Man Singh ground in Jaipur. The Rajasthan Royals team will face the Lucknow Super Giants, Delhi Capitals and RCB teams.
