With his wealth of experience, Bahutule is expected to bring valuable insights to the team. He will be working closely with Rajasthan’s captain, Sanju Samson, to develop the team’s spin bowling attack.
Previous Stint with Rajasthan Royals
According to a press release from Rajasthan Royals, 52-year-old Sairaj Bahutule has made a return to the team. He was previously a part of the team from 2018 to 2021. Bahutule has had a successful coaching career, guiding teams such as Mumbai, Bengal, Kerala, and the Indian national men’s team. He has also worked with Rajasthan’s head coach, Rahul Dravid, in the past.

Impressive First-Class Career
After being appointed as the spin bowling coach, Sairaj Bahutule expressed his excitement to work with Rahul Dravid and the rest of the coaching staff to develop the team’s bowling attack and contribute to the team’s success. Although his international career was not extensive, Bahutule has had a remarkable first-class career, scoring over 6,000 runs and taking 630 wickets in first-class matches. He has also claimed 197 wickets in List A games.
