Rain interrupted day three at Sydney Test, expect Usman Khawaja’s double century

The day of the third day of the third Test match to be played in Sydney between Australia and South Africa could not be played due to rain. On January 6th it rained intermittently throughout the day in Sydney. Due to which not a single ball could be thrown on the third day. The rain extended the wait for Usman Khawaja’s double century. When he finished the second day’s play, he came back undefeated with 195 runs. If Khawaja manages to score a double century, then it will be the first double century of his Test career.

Captain Pat Cummins will be confused on the fourth day of the test match. If Australia wants to expand their entries and Usman Khawaja completes his double century. If Cummins declares the first innings at 475 runs on Saturday, Khawaja will be deprived of a double century. So the result of this match will also be difficult. For Australia, victory in the third test is important. If the Kangaroo team wins the third Test, they will qualify for the ICC World Test Championship.

The South African team would like to avoid a 3-0 loss in the Test series against Australia. If South Africa is shut out in the Test series, their hopes of reaching the Test Championship final will be greatly weakened. South Africa is number three in the Test Championship points table. You need to win the third test to stay in the final race. But South Africa faces a tough challenge from India. Currently, Team India is at number two. Although Australia will surely reach the final.
