Raid 2 Box Office Collection: Ajay Devgn’s Film Sees Dip on Second Day

Ajay Devgn’s ‘Raid 2’ has hit theaters, and the initial box office numbers are in. The film, a sequel to the 2018 hit ‘Raid,’ opened with a solid ₹19.25 crore on its first day. However, the second-day collection took a hit, dropping to ₹7.87 crore. This brings the total box office collection to ₹27.12 crore so far. With a budget of around ₹60 crore, the film is off to a decent start.

The movie is facing stiff competition from other releases like ‘Kesari 2,’ ‘Jaat,’ ‘Hit – The Third Case,’ and ‘Retro.’ Sanjay Dutt’s ‘Bhootni’ also hit theaters on the same day. Despite this crowded market, ‘Raid 2’ managed a strong opening.

The Competition

‘Raid 2’ is up against some stiff competition at the box office. Other Bollywood films like ‘Kesari 2’ and ‘Jaat’ were already running in theaters. The film also faces competition from South Indian releases ‘Hit – The Third Case’ and ‘Retro,’ which were released on the same day.

A Strong Comeback

Ajay Devgn’s last few films haven’t done well at the box office. However, ‘Raid 2’ marks a strong comeback for the actor. Industry insiders believe the film is performing well considering its budget. A film is considered to have a good start if it earns 10% of its budget on the first day. ‘Raid 2’ has done better than that.

The film boasts an impressive cast, including Vani Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh. Raj Kumar Gupta directs the movie, while Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat, and Abhishek Pathak produce it.

Box Office Numbers

  • Day 2: ₹7.87 crore

The film’s budget is around ₹60 crore. Will ‘Raid 2’ continue to do well at the box office? Only time will tell.
