Rahul wants to be ‘normal’ by returning diplomatic passport

Rahul Gandhi left the government bungalow in Delhi after losing his MP post after being found guilty by a court for commenting on Modi’s surname. This time he returned the diplomatic passport and asked for a normal passport.

As per rules, he needs ‘No Objection Certificate (NOC)’ to get ordinary passport by submitting diplomatic passport obtained as MP. For this reason, this Congress leader filed an application in Delhi court seeking NOC. News – Hindustan Times.

Following Rahul’s plea, the court sought a response from BJP leader Suhmaniyam Swamy, who had filed the National Herald case. It will be heard next Wednesday. Then the decision will come about Rahul’s passport.

Rahul may go to America on a 10-day visit next June. He is scheduled to meet expatriates at Madison Square Garden. He is also scheduled to speak at Stanford University.
