Rafael Nadal arrives in Melbourne for the Australian Open 2022
The legendary Spanish tennis player Rafael Nadal has arrived in Melbourne to play the Grand Slam and the Australian Open. Nadal won his first title in 2009. He finished the 2021 season early due to a leg injury.
He returned to the Mubadala World Tennis Championships which is played in Abu Dhabi in the third week of December. At the same time, when he arrived in Spain, they found him infected with Kovid. Nadal later said that his Kovid RT-PCR test had come back positive. So it was speculated that he would not play at the Australian Open.
However, he posted a photo of himself at Blue Melbourne Court on Friday and tweeted: “Don’t tell anyone I’m here.” The tweet soon went viral, with thousands of fans wishing it success.
One fan tweeted, “You’re welcome Rafael,” while another said, “I can’t wait any longer.”
