Rafa Marín, loaned to Alavés

Rafa Marín (Guadajoz, 21 years old) will play on loan at Alavés next season, as AS had anticipated. The babazorro club has made his arrival official, from Real Madrid. He does not have any purchase option because in the Madrid entity they trust the evolution of a projection defense. Madrid does not intend to lose any kind of decision-making power over Rafa Marín and that is why it has agreed to a renewal of the Sevillian to shield him. Besides, Alavés is considered a good destination for the proven work it does with young people. The case of Antonio Blanco confirms this impression.

Rafa Marín has been trained in the lower categories of Seville and Real Madrid and this course will be his debut in the First Division after a season in which he was a benchmark both on and off the pitch at Castilla. As announced by Alavés in the statement to make his arrival official, Rafa Marín has joined the pre-season stage that the Albiazul team is carrying out in the town of Benidorm to meet those who will be his new colleagues and get to work under the orders of Luis García Plaza.

A couple of hours before making this arrival official, the club from Vitoria fired Florian Lejeune, who will join Rayo Vallecano. Last year he was on loan but this year he will be transferred. “The club wishes him the best of luck in the future. Lejeune leaves after the agreement reached by the babazorro club and Rayo Vallecano for the transfer to the franjirroja entity. The French center-back thus closes a cycle of three seasons as a player for Deportivo Alavés in which he played 74 games as an albiazul before playing on loan last season at Rayo Vallecano, his current destination ”, reads the note from the albiazul club.

This is the fourth addition to the Vitoria club after the arrivals of Ander Guevara, Giuliano Simeone and Antonio Blanco. In addition, there have been other market movements such as that of Nikola Maras, who is no longer on loan from Almería to be owned by Glorioso or Lejeune himself, who was on loan from Rayo and is now going to the Madrid club but as property. If we talk about new faces, we cannot consider that Blanco is a of them since he played on loan last year in the Basque entity. He arrived in the winter market and soon took ownership. Luis García Plaza has always been very interested in having him.
