Rabo de Peixe: the Portuguese Netflix series is already a worldwide success

After “Glória”, the series “Rabo de Peixe” is the second Portuguese series produced exclusively for Netflix. With a ‘stage’ in the Azorean town of the same name, it quickly became a hit with Portuguese subscribers to the streaming platform.

But in just a few days the series became a real worldwide hit. The latest figures show this, since it already ranks sixth (on average) among the 100 countries where Netflix has service.

“Rabo de Peixe” entered the Top 10 in 33 countries on Netflix

The numbers are revealed by the FlixPatrol portal, and refer to this Wednesday, May 31. The highlight turns out to be that Rabo de Peixe has already entered the Top 10 most watched series in 33 countries.

The first place of Portugal, the second of Luxembourg or the third of Spain are not surprising. But the truth is that “Rabo de Peixe” is also the second most watched series in the Bahamas and Malta, and the fourth most watched in Greece, Jamaica, Kenya, Poland, Uruguay and Trinidad and Tobago.

If we do an average, “Rabo de Peixe” has an average rating of 6.3 this Wednesday. In the next few days it will be interesting to see if it will be temporary, or if these numbers will continue to grow.

If you haven’t seen the series yet, it portrays the story of when a ton of drugs arrived on the Rabo de Peixe beach in 2001. There, “Eduardo and his friends will have to decide if they continue to be puddles in a sea of sharks, or change your destiny forever.”
