The Catalan Queralt Castellet qualified to compete in the final of the snowboard halfpipe World Cup event with the fourth best mark of the previous round.
Castellet, who is fine-tuning her set-up for the Beijing Winter Games, received a mark in the first drop of 79.60 and in the second of 80.40, which placed her in fourth place after the American Chloe Kim (93.80), the Chinese Xuetong Cai (86.20) and Japanese Mitsuki Ono (84.80).
The Sabadell snowboarder was bronze last December in the Copper Mountain event and in Beijing she will play her fifth Olympic Games. On Saturday, in a final in which she will be the only European, she will fight for a new podium.
