Queen Elizabeth II spent the night from Wednesday to Thursday in the hospital

After being put to rest by her doctors, Queen Elizabeth II, 95, spent the night from Wednesday to Thursday in the hospital, Buckingham Palace announced this Thursday evening.

“Following the medical advice recommending her to rest for a few days, the Queen went to the hospital on Wednesday afternoon for preliminary examinations and returned to Windsor Castle at lunchtime ( Thursday), ”the palace said in a brief statement. She “keeps good morale,” he added.

Despite her age, successive confinements and the loss of her husband Philip last April, the queen has remained very active, participating in new public engagements.

But in recent days, the state of health of the sovereign aroused the concern of her subjects.

After being seen last week walking in public with a cane – a first since 2004 – we learned on Wednesday that she was forced to cancel a visit to Northern Ireland, after having “reluctantly” accepted the advice of her doctors to rest a few days. The palace had not commented on Elizabeth II’s state of health, simply stating that she kept “good spirits and was disappointed that she could no longer visit Northern Ireland, where she was to participate in a series of commitments ”.

Elizabeth II is due to celebrate her 70th anniversary in 2022.
