Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is official with luxury assets for 2022

THE Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 it’s official. It is a new SoC (system on chip), also known as a mid/high-end processor with several of the advantages found in the high-end -Snapdragon 8- but at a fraction of its usual sale price.

We will find this processor in the next generation of mid-range and mid-range/high-end Android smartphones. That is, in mobiles that cost between 400 and 800 euros, approximately. With that said, it’s time to get acquainted with this new chipset.

The Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is the first to present various features and functionalities for this price segment. It will be used first in smartphones from Xiaomi, OPPO and Honor to arrive on the market during the second half of 2022.

By the way, the first phone with this Qualcomm chipset will be presented during the next week, on May 23.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 is built according to the 4nm lithography. It has a total of eight processing cores grouped into two clusters or groups of four.
