Qamar Javed Bajwa london: Addressing the passing out parade of the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS), Pakistan Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa said that the main reason the army exists today is to ensure that there are no wars. Bajwa is currently on an official tour of the UK. He attended the event as the first chief guest of Pakistan. Bajwa thanked Britain for giving him the opportunity to address the Sovereign Day Parade in Sandhurst. He termed it as a testament to the deep ties that existed between Pakistan and Britain. Let us tell you that at this time Pakistan is going through an economic crisis, due to which Pakistan is roaming around the world so that it can get financial help. Earlier, Pakistan has also sought loan from IMF.
Relations between Britain and Pakistan will be strengthened
He said that the fate of mankind more than ever depends on our collective ability to unite and adopt the path of peace and cooperation instead of war, dialogue instead of conflict and multilateralism instead of self-preservation. Bajwa said that as a result of the beginning of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, artificial intelligence (AI) based specific capabilities and dual-use technologies are fundamentally changing the character of future warfare. Extreme precision, lethality and transparency will characterize the battlefield of the future, he said. It will be extremely challenging both mentally and physically for military leadership, especially young officers. Bajwa also referred to the close ties between Britain and Pakistan. He expressed hope that the relations between the two countries will reach a historic level in the future.
Major General Iftikhar Babar attended the event
Bajwa represented Queen Elizabeth II at the Sovereign Day Parade held for the Commissioning Course-213 (CC-213) of the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Military officers of dozens of countries were present in this program. Major General Iftikhar Babar, Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), also joined Bajwa in the parade. Bajwa is also expected to meet the British military leadership during his stay in London.
