Punjab Kings’ Priyansh Arya Scored Century

Punjab Kings stunned Chennai Super Kings with an 18-run win. Priyansh Arya’s blistering century stole the show.
The Kings didn’t start strong, losing 5 wickets for 83 runs. Top batsmen like Simran Singh, Shreyas Iyer, and Glenn Maxwell fell cheaply.

Priyansh Arya held his ground, smashing 103 runs off 42 balls. He hit 9 sixes and 7 fours, turning the game around.
After the match, Priyansh shared that he wanted to play it safe with singles and doubles. But Nehal Wadhera told him to stick to his natural game.

Priyansh said, “I’m happy, but I want to contribute more for the team.” Shreyas Iyer had told him to bat with intent. “If I get out, no worries. Just play what’s on my mind and adapt to the situation.”

When Nehal came in, Priyansh was thinking of singles and doubles. But Nehal urged him to trust his instincts. “All bowlers were good, so I thought any one of them could trouble me.”

Priyansh rose to fame after his impressive performance in the Delhi Premier League. Punjab Kings bought him for 3.8 crores in the IPL auction.
