Punishment of fine for driving below the specified speed limit in UAE

In Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, the penalty for driving below the specified speed limit has come into force.

According to Emirati media, a new minimum speed limit has been implemented in both directions of Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Road in Abu Dhabi from today, the maximum speed limit for the first two lanes from the left is 140 km/h and the minimum speed limit is 120 km/h. Hourly, drivers who drive slower than the minimum speed will be fined Dh400.

The speed limit for the third and last lane is 140 kmph, which will also apply to heavy vehicles, but the minimum speed limit will not apply to them.

Officials have specifically advised drivers to drive safely, with minimum speed limits in place to ensure the safety of motorists.
