Puerto Rican influencer Xiomara ‘La Golda’ passed away suddenly on November 15. Her death has left the digital entertainment community in mourning.
The 38-year-old content creator had over 84,000 followers on Instagram. She was known for her humor and modeling talent.
Just before her passing, Xiomara Calderón shared poignant messages on Instagram. She wrote, “If you offer a prayer to God suddenly, for the rest of the day, ask Father God to have control over everything in my life.”
She also posted, “I feel grateful, I feel blessed, I feel loved, I feel in a time where a new moment resurfaces.”
The exact cause of her death remains unclear. Local media, including ‘El Nuevo Día,’ reported she had traveled to Florida for bariatric surgery.
However, Waleska Morales, a family spokesperson, stated in a Facebook video that the family has no official knowledge of what occurred. Morales urged the public to stop speculating about Xiomara’s death.
She emphasized that the immediate family has not received official statements. Morales noted that producer Jorge Pabón Ocasio and best friend Andrés Waldermar are the only individuals permitted to offer real details.
Jorge Pabón Ocasio, known as “El Molusco,” was the first to confirm the tragedy. He announced her sudden death via a social media message, calling it a devastating blow.
Xiomara had openly discussed her physical and emotional transformation over the past year. She began a weight loss journey because she wanted to “live 100 years.”
Her nickname “La Golda” referred to “gold,” symbolizing her aspiration to become something precious. She underwent bariatric surgery with financial support from “Molusco.”
She later traveled to Miami for an aesthetic procedure. Before this, she posted a message asking for prayers, indicating her spiritual focus.
Beyond social media videos, Xiomara Calderón excelled in singing, dancing, and plus modeling. She highlighted “plus modeling” in her Instagram biography.
