  • Islamabad beat Quetta Gladiators by 43 runs in PSL game 10
  • This was Islamabad’s second victory in three matches in the tournament.

Islamabad United beat Quetta Gladiators by 43 runs in the 10th game of the Pakistan Super League. In the match, Islamabad, batting first, scored 229 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, in response to which the Quetta team came out on top after scoring 186 runs in 19.3 overs. This was Islamabad’s second victory in three matches in the tournament.

Colin Munro scored 72 runs on 39 balls for Islamabad in the match. Munro also hit 5 sixes and three 4s in his innings. Aside from this, goalkeeper batsman Azam Khan played a 65-run inning on 35 balls for the team. Azam hit 6 sixes and 2 fours in his innings.

At the same time, leadoff batsman Paul Stirling made 58 on 28 balls that included 7 fours and 3 sixes for Islamabad. Aside from this, Alex Hales chipped in 22 runs.

Chasing the target of 230 runs given by Islamabad, leadoff batsman Ehsan Ali and Abdul Banglaji got off to a strong start for the Quetta team and the duo shared a 54-run partnership for the first wicket. Ehsan hit an explosive 50 on 27 balls while Abdul chipped in with 14 runs.

However, Quetta did not build on this excellent start and the team lost their wickets at frequent intervals. In the middle order, Mohammad Nawaz should have raised a hope by scoring 47 runs on 22 balls but the rest of the batsmen turned out to be complete failures.
