PSG’s next star signing after Dembélé’s arrival

Paris Saint-Germain is carrying out a complete renovation in the new project led by Luis Enrique Martínez. With the recent arrival of Ousmane Dembélé, officially announced last Saturday, the French champions have welcomed nine new faces to their ranks and are now preparing for an even more transcendent move. According to reports from Sky Sport, PSG are close to making their first official offer for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Randal Kolo Muani, with whom they appear to have already reached a verbal agreement.

The challenge could be transfer pricing. Markus Krösche, sports director of Eintracht, has valued the French international at 100 million euros. A number that could seem exorbitant even for a club like PSG that has already invested more than €200m in this summer market.

Still, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi seems to have several cards up his sleeve. Three, to be precise: Kylian Mbappé, Neymar Jr. and Marco Verratti. The three players were not included in Luis Enrique’s squad for tonight’s match against Lorient, marking the Spaniard’s official debut as PSG manager.

“The choices I make will shape my idea,” Luis Enrique commented before the game when asked about Neymar and Verratti. So far, their decisions suggest that neither Neymar nor Verratti will step into their plans. In addition, Mbappé was separated from the team for refusing a contract extension or a transfer. Should any of these players eventually leave, PSG would have the financial means to sign Kolo Muani in a potential blow to their ambitious market strategy.

With significant investments already into this transfer window, PSG are once again demonstrating their determination to attract top talent and strengthen their title-seeking squad. The goal is Kolo Muani, but the outcome of this story has yet to be written.
