“Prose Combat”: MC Solaar’s cult album soon to be reissued

He definitely marked the 1990s. Rapper MC Solaar will unveil a reissue of his second album, “Prose combat”, on September 24.

Released in 1994, this opus included titles that have become classics today like “Obsolète” and “Nouveau Western”, which took the sample of “Bonnie and Clyde” by Serge Gainsbourg.

But due to disagreements between MC Solaar and his record company Polydor, “Prose Combat”, like the first record “Qui smes le vent reap le tempo”, had been withdrawn from sale.

The hatchet is buried

It is therefore with undisguised joy that the rapper’s fans await this reissue, which was able to see the light of day after an agreement between the two parties. “The absence of my first albums pained me more and more. For five or six years, no one even spoke to me about them. Many thought that the first one was from 2001… Also, what made me tilt is that three or four cities wanted to give me a medal for what I had brought to the culture, but I could not answer positively, because what I had brought did not exist ”, explained, last July, MC Solaar in an interview with the Parisian.

While the artist is reportedly working on a new album, his third opus “Paradisiac” will also be released in physical and streaming media by the end of the year.
