Project reduces appropriations to four institutions

The project of supplementary budget sent to Congress by the Executive Power on August 24 last contemplates an inter-institutional adjustment that affects four entities and to the appropriations of administration of public debt and financial assets.

According to the new law document, the project establishes the reduction of RD$16,965.6 million in appropriations, for amortization of short and long-term debt. Of these, RD$10,750 million will be applied for debt administration and RD$6,215.6 million for administration of National Treasury obligations.

Just like him transfer of appropriations of resources from the Ministries of Finance, Education, Public Works and Communications, Energy and Mines and administration of debts and financial assets.

On the other hand, with this adjustment it contemplates increasing appropriations for an amount of RD$14.280 million to the Presidency of the Republic, Public Health, Agriculture, Environment, the Central Electoral Board and administration of obligations of the National Treasury.

The additional project that will complement the original budget was presented with an increase of RD$114,001 million, of which 67.4% of the expenditure programming for this 2022, equivalent to RD$92,368.9 million, “are associated with expenses aimed at protecting households from the effects of the increase in international prices,” he says.
