Professional League: Platense won a great game against Banfield and celebrated again

The irregularity of the current Professional Football League tournament, a contest that no one ends up taking over, has as a consequence vibrant matches and sparks of confidence. In Banfield, this Saturday something like that happened, when Platense was reunited with victory after beating the local team 4-2, in an emotional match in which no attempts were spared by both teams to get the three points that the two needed to close their way through the ninth date.

The needs of both teams for meeting victory due to his irregular campaigns since the beginning of the tournament made the game at Florencio Sola stadium generous on the part of both. There was no speculation anywhere, with stabbing charges from the attacks, favored in certain arrivals by weaknesses of the defenses, especially those of the premises.

In the first half, the brown team was the one that went to the dressing room with a 2-1 advantage, after having been the most forceful in those initial 45 minutes. After a penalty converted by Brian Mansilla, the Drill tied with a goal from a free kick from Jesús Dátolo, who with 17 seasons as a professional continues to show his skills intact at the stopped ball. Platense’s second goal came with a collective maneuver, a modality under which those from the South would again reach a draw, nine minutes into the second half.

Florencio Sola seemed determined to lower the curtain on his soccer afternoon with the action evenly matched, which would have been little fruit for the efforts of both. The one who twisted the score in favor of his team, on the end, was Facundo Curuchet, whose 24 minutes were enough, since he jumped onto the pitch, to dispatch with two goals that made every fan of the Vicente López cast vibrate.

At 38 minutes of the complement, he made it 3-2, with control, turn and right hand to the angle in a fast action facing the goal. The last cry, that of the final scoreboard, was a counterattack that found Banfield puzzled in defense and that Curuchet managed with confidence on the rise -and without marks- to cross the middle of the playing field and still dare to define with a powerful right hand, which closed a generous afternoon of goal.
