Professional League: Banfield equalized against Unión de Santa Fe

Banfield and Unión de Santa Fe offered a goalless draw on Monday at the Florencio Sola stadium, at the close of the first date of the Professional League.

Without emotions about the goals, the salient were the three injuries registered in the game, one at the local (Sebastián Sosa Sánchez) and two on the visit (Ezequiel Cañete and Federico Vera).

Banfield finished the match in numerical inferiority due to the expulsion of the midfielder Alejandro Cabrera, after receiving the second yellow card for the simulation of a penalty.

The match was summed up in a game of distributed possession, with a slight predominance of the Santa Fe team and some offensive attempts that did not go beyond approximations.

Thus, Unión searched for him with greater intensity in the first half through the Paraguayan Junior Marabel and through a shot by Lucas Esquivel that required a great save from Facundo Cambeses.

The locals had their best chances at the end of the game with a break from Andrés Chávez and a header from Cabrera, prior to his expulsion, saved by the Uruguayan Santiago Mele.

The victory could have been left for the visit in the discount for the rookie Jerónimo Domina, who defined over the crossbar after creating a space inside the area one against that took the rival off guard.

In short, the two teams were in debt at the premiere and will look for an improvement on the second date. Unión will be local to Instituto de Córdoba next Sunday, while Banfield will visit Huracán the following day.
