Banfield and Sarmiento de Junín said goodbye to the Professional Football League (LPF) this Sunday with a boring goalless draw in the match played this afternoon at the Florencio Sola stadium for the 27th. and last date.

With no goals at stake, the local team reserved the entirety of its main team to face next Wednesday one of the semifinals of the Argentine Cup against Talleres de Córdoba at the Newell’s Old Boys stadium.

Sarmiento, with his work already done in this tournament after ensuring his permanence in the First Division, had the only situation of medium danger in the match and ended with protests against referee Pablo Giménez.

Those from Junín claimed a supposed penalty against Luciano Gondou for a grab and a hand in the Banfield area that was not reviewed by the VAR by Facundo Tello.

Banfield closed the championship with just two wins at home, which placed them among the three teams with the lowest performance at home.
