Producer Praises Rashmika Mandanna’s Unlimited Work Amidst Deepika’s 8-Hour Shift Row

Producer SKN has lauded actress Rashmika Mandanna for her exceptional work ethic. His remarks come amid a growing industry debate over actor work shifts. SKN is the producer of Mandanna’s upcoming film, “The Girlfriend.”

Speaking at an event for “The Girlfriend,” SKN described Mandanna as the only actress in India willing to work for as many hours as needed. He emphasized her commitment over time constraints. He stated she approaches her work with “love” and focuses on punctuality rather than hourly limits.

Mandanna reportedly smiled in response to the producer’s praise during the event.

The discussion around an eight-hour workday intensified after Deepika Padukone exited Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s film “Spirit.” Reports suggested Padukone’s departure was due to her demand for fixed eight-hour shifts. This reportedly led to tension between Padukone and director Vanga.

Padukone recently addressed the issue in an interview. She asserted that if her stance as a woman feels like “pressure,” then so be it. She highlighted that many leading male stars have worked eight-hour shifts for years without similar discussions.

In other news, Mandanna’s recently released film “Thama” is currently in theaters. She is also slated to appear in “The Girlfriend,” which is scheduled for a November 7 release. Mandanna is additionally filming “Cocktail 2” alongside Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon.
