Javier Milei, the recently elected president of Argentina, promises his compatriots to abolish all political privileges. These rather radical ideas contributed significantly to his victory in the Argentine presidency.
Milei is seen by the media as a man with a remarkable personality and a strong preference for Bitcoin (BTC). Before the election, Milei made a statement in which he viewed Bitcoin as a backlash against central bankers’ fraud.

Argentine President: Politicians are not above the people
The Argentine president believes that money belongs in the private sector. He sees Bitcoin as a means of returning money to its origins. Milei promises the Argentine people that he will solve the country’s inflation problem by closing the Banco Central de la República Argentina (BCRA).
In a current one speech Milei compares Argentina’s politicians to financial derivatives. He describes the Argentine people as the core value that these politicians represent. He wants to emphasize that politicians are not above the people.

He says politicians are delusional if they believe they are above the people. According to Milei, these representatives can only exist if they serve the population.
With this statement, the pro-Bitcoin president seems determined to put an end to all political privileges in Argentina.
“If they mess up, it won’t just be honest Argentinians who will suffer the consequences. The politicians will suffer even more. You have to live the way honest Argentinians live. Your privileges are over. The party is over.”
Pro-Bitcoin President Wants to Shut Down Argentina’s Central Bank
Milei also reiterates that he still plans to close Argentina’s central bank. He says it’s non-negotiable.
The far-right libertarian has several controversial ideas. For example, he wants to abolish social welfare, allow the free carrying of weapons, legalize the sale of human organs and replace the Argentine peso with the US dollar.
Nevertheless, he is welcome in the Bitcoin community as a supporter. Since his election as president, the BTC price in Argentina is already approaching its record high.
