‘Prithviraj’ must be shown in schools across the country: Akshay Kumar

On the occasion of the birthday of Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan, born in 1540, Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar and director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi released the big trailer for the movie ‘Prithviraj’ at Yash Raj Studios in Mumbai. Akshay Kumar, on the special occasion of the launch of the trailer for his historical film ‘Prithviraj’, said that he is proud to have been given the opportunity to play the role of India’s best son, Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan.

Akshay Kumar said that he had never had the opportunity to act in such a great and historic film in his 30-year career. He felt that his life had become successful.

Akshay Kumar said that he had been given a book called ‘Prithviraj Raso’ by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi to read, after which he realized how great and great a warrior he was. Akshay Kumar said that when he used to study in school, he only taught himself a paragraph in school about Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan.

Akshay Kumar said that he wants the country’s children to know about history, about Emperor Prithviraj Chauhan, and that is why he also wants to call on the country’s governments to take this film to schools, to show it obligatorily so that children know the history of the country.

Akshay Kumar got emotional on this occasion and said that he wishes his mother was alive today and could see him in the role of Samrat in the movie ‘Prithviraj’. As he spoke, Akshay became emotional and his throat immediately swelled. Akshay Kumar said that everything shown in this movie is correct, but he is surprised that people don’t know anything about history. Giving information, Akshay Kumar said that director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi has not only worked very hard to make this movie, but he has been researching for this movie for 18 years.

Director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi said that two days after narrating the film’s story, producer Aditya Chopra had agreed to make the film and the next day it was decided that Akshay Kumar would play the lead role in the film. Akshay Kumar said that the shooting of the movie ‘Prithviraj’ was completed in just 42 days. Director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi also praised Akshay Kumar’s habit of arriving on set early, his dedication to the film and his discipline during filming.

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, while clearing up the controversy over the title of the film, said that the first work that is considered in the Indian writing tradition is ‘Prithviraj Raso’ and it has not been called ‘Emperor’ either. He said that the second work is ‘Prithviraj Vijaya’, in which the ‘Emperor’ for Prithviraj is also not mentioned. He said that even in the ‘Sanskrit literature’ published in 2015, the emperor is not mentioned.

He said: ‘Whenever we go to Delhi, there is a road called Prithviraj Road. No one should be harmed by addressing anyone on their behalf. I also call Ram as Ram Bhadra. I also call Shri Ram. There is a saying in Gujarati – Hari tara naam chhe mil…meaning hari tere naam hai mil…similarly there are many names of Prithviraj…by whatever name you call such a powerful person…call with affection… I think society should accept it and there should be no objection.”

It is noteworthy that Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena had objected to the title of the film and demanded that ‘Samrat’ also be included in the name of the film and naming the film simply ‘Prithviraj’ is an insult to the great warrior. On the controversy of the title of the film ‘Prithviraj’ which will be released nationwide on June 3, Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi said that anyone who has doubts about the name of the film, their doubts will be cleared after watching the film. .

Manushi Chhillar, who won the Miss World title in 2018, spoke about her Bollywood debut with ‘Prithviraj’ and said that she had the opportunity to play the role of Rani Samyukta in her first film and work at Yash Raj Films, for which she herself considers him lucky. Significantly, when Akshay Kumar was asked if he would like to show ‘Prithviraj’ to the Prime Minister, Akshay Kumar said: ‘Who am I to show him the film? If they feel, they will see for themselves.
